Remote Audit It may be possible for businesses based at residential sites or small offices to be audited remotely, which reduces the cost to users as there are no travel costs associated with the audit. However, where sites are audited remotely, the following documents must be provided (by post or email) to the assigned auditor where applicable: - Environmental policy statement
- Street address (if not already provided via registration)
- List of environmental impacts identified
- List of non-compliances identified (& proposed remedial action)
- Most recent electricity & gas bill(s) to demonstrate the consumption trend
- Copies of relevant permits (e.g. resource consent, trade waste permit, location test certificate or approved handler certificate etc.)
- Copies of any other environmental credentials held (e.g. ecolabel, certificate etc.)
- Vehicle registration document(s)
- Environmental performance requirements imposed on contractors/suppliers
- Any other items that otherwise demonstrate good environmental performance
The Envirostep auditor will review any documents submitted, and conduct a web search (using Google Maps) to confirm that your business is a residential or small office site, and that there is no obvious evidence of environmental damage associated with your site. Return to User Guide
